Due to the extremely high heat and harsh detergents of dishwashers, hand washing is recommended to provide lasting beauty to this special gift. How long will the mug stay transformed? As the mug cools down, it will go back to the black exterior. In fact, a hidden benefit of the heat sensitive nature of the mug is knowing from across the room if your half-filled cup of coffee is still hot! How long will the mug work? With hand-washing, the mug will keep transforming as long as you own it! Many customers have used their mug 4 or 5 times every day at work for over 4 years and while the white ceramic inside may have gotten stained from countless cups of strong office coffee, the mug is still transforming! How does the process work? In a patented process, the outside of the mug is fully coated in a thermochromatic ink that is sensitive to heat. When your hot beverage is added, the ink becomes transparent, revealing the full color image underneath in a striking way. It is a FDA approved ink, allowing it to change all the way to the top rim of the mug, unlike some "wonder" mugs that just have certain spots that reveal a hidden picture or light up windows. Can you do a custom scene? Certainly! The minimum to do a custom scene is 144 mugs, and we can have a picture of your group or Church be revealed.
